I recently read This is Your Brain on Food by Uma Naidoo, MD and it was a great read! Dr. Naidoo is a psychiatrist at Harvard and she has a special interest in how nutrition affects mental health; she is also a trained chef.
With Direct primary care (DPC), the primary care doctor is paid an affordable monthly fee that covers a broad set of primary care services, about 90% of everything needed for the patient’s health.
In my last post, I told you why I love primary care. It was a picture of what primary care could and should be. When primary care works well, it helps patients to stay healthy and happy.

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Suzy Lessing has joined DirectMed DPC in Lakeway and she is currently open for enrollments!
I am one of the two new doctors joining DirectMed DPC and will be the first in the New Braunfels area. I am beyond excited! I love being a doctor. It is an honor, and a privilege to play such a personal role in the lives of fellow human beings.
Primary care can be found in pediatrics, internal medicine or family medicine. Most primary care physicians (PCP’s) will focus on prevention of chronic disease, cancer screening, health education, and treatment of ongoing and acute issues.
