In accordance with Texas Health & Safety Code §181.105, patients of DirectMed have the
right to:
- Request copies of your medical records: You may request access to or copies of your medical records by contacting our office staff. Requests will be processed in accordance with Texas law.
- Ask questions or file a complaint: If you have concerns regarding your care or medical records, you may contact the appropriate licensing or disciplinary authority: Texas Medical Board at 800-201-9353 / www.tmb.state.tx.us. You may also speak directly with our team—we are committed to transparency and patient advocacy.
Notice of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use in Patient Care
In accordance with Texas Senate Bill 1188, DirectMed discloses that artificial intelligence (AI) tools may be used to support certain aspects of patient care, such as reviewing medical records or assisting with diagnostic or treatment recommendations. Important to Know:
- AI is used only as a support tool
- Your clinician personally reviews all AI-assisted information
- Your clinician remains fully responsible for all medical decisions
- AI does not replace independent medical judgment
