Do I still need insurance if I sign up for DirectMed DPC?
All patients should carry some form of a catastrophic health plan. High deductible plans are a great supplement to Direct Primary Care and cover you and your family for catastrophic events. Medical cost-sharing plans or Health shares are also good options to consider. These types of health plans will help cover services that DirectMed DPC cannot provide, such as hospitalizations, surgeries, and other catastrophic events. DirectMed DPC can also help guide you in the right direction for a health plan to couple with our practice. All patients should feel free to contact our office if you’d like our help with care navigation. Neer Patel is our licensed employer benefits consultant and he can also help put group health insurance plans together for businesses so please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Can I use my insurance to pay for labs and imaging?
Yes, however, DirectMed DPC is not responsible for payments not covered by your insurance company. DirectMed DPC has negotiated cash-pay rates with local lab and imaging centers so that paying cash for these services is very affordable.
Can I use HSA and/or FSA money to pay for my visit?
DirectMed DPC accepts HSA and FSA funds as a form of payment, however, it is the responsibility of the patient to ensure eligibility of use in accordance with IRS guidelines.
